PASSENGER

How many talented singer-songwriters move between the genres of folk and pop, imparting the feeling of the unprecedented? And then someone like Passenger aka Mike Rosenberg arrives on the scene. A man, a guitar: He meets you in the streets of the city. He moves the audience to tears with his beautiful songs and his authentic way of sharing them. It is exactly this setting, with which the British musician always and again affirms his musical principles. Ten internationally successful albums and the Passenger hymn Let Her Go have not changed that. It’s exactly why Passenger is beloved.

SOPHIE HUNGER

It may be a typical Sophie Hunger moment when she commits to the acoustic festival Zermatt Unplugged in the midst of the tour for her first electronically produced album, Molecules. This gig is full of surprises: Does she play her new songs acoustically? Which musicians accompany her? Does she invite guests or does she play solo? Shape, Le vent nour portera, Walzer für Niemand: On her tour, Sophie Hunger also plays all the songs from the last ten years of her work. She has released six albums, twice filled the Miles Davis Hall at Montreux Jazz, received an invitation to the Glastonbury Festival. There are few Swiss artists who are as internationally appreciated as Sophie Hunger.

CHARLIE CUNNINGHAM

“An exquisite work!” writes Q Magazine, “Très beau!” in Rolling Stone France. It’s amazing what drew a broader audience to the debut album Lines of the British singer-songwriter Charlie Cunningham. His clear, warm voice and his Spanish-influenced flamenco acoustic guitar work make a wonderful ensemble. Cunningham went on tour with Mighty Oaks. Sixto Rodriguez invited him as support at the Royal Albert Hall. For clubs, the Brit has a special sense: “It’s cozy there. I’m happy to be able to fill these rooms with my music! “

Winkelmatten Chapel
BRUNO BIERI & LIONIUS TREIKAUSKAS

From Silence is the essence of Bruno Bieri & Lionius Treikauskas. In the Winkelmatten chapel the musicians make the silence audible with their voice, cello, handpan, and alphorn. Their own compositions tell stories between mountain peaks and depths of valleys. They play songs with and without words, let cheerful shouts and shouts of cheer sound, inspired by wind and weather. Voices echo in the majestic sound of the Alps. From tranquility, a concert develops with power, sound, and mischief – unplugged.
