He may be musical Marmite – earning adoration and outlandish approbation in equal measure – but there is no doubt that Tom Odell possesses the voice of an angel, a sublime, vulnerable angel, and serious piano-playing chops. Mixing idealism and self-assuredness, the 23 year-old has grace beyond his years. The singer-songwriter released his debut album « Long Way Down » – featuring the transcendent « Another Love » – in 2013 and it quickly earned him acclaim and comparisons with the voice of Jeff Buckley and the precocious piano skills of Elton John. Flattered but not daunted by such comparisons he has managed to keep his feet on the ground. His talent is raw and he is keen not to rush the next steps of his career. Already listed as the BBC Sound of 2013 and Critics’ Choice winner at the 2013 BRIT Awards, Tom Odell seems set for an auspicious career and now is the chance to make up your own mind.
