No self-respecting reggae lover’s collection would be complete without the Max Romeo classic « War Inna Babylon ». The charismatic singer who achieved international success with « Wet Dream », « Chase the Devil » and « On Step Forward» was born in 1947 in Saint Ann, Jamaica. Max Romeo left school and family at the age of 14 to follow his passion for music and recorded his first single record in 1965. Although he prefers to look after his land and family, he still performs regularly in Europe. The reggae roots pioneer remains a living legend and even at the age of 66, his powers as a live performer remain undiminished. Make sure not to miss the chance to see one of the last great icons of Jamaican music live at Caribana.
