Shahid Khan aka Naughty Boy has enjoyed a meteoric rise. In just four years he has gone from recording in a garden shed in his family house in Watford to having his own studio in Ealing, west London. Taking part in the Prince’s Trust in 2005 helped the youngster develop his musical career and he was able to use the prize money from it – and from an appearance on the Deal or No Deal television show – to invest in professional recording equipment. He initially enjoyed success as a producer and hit-maker. He composed hits for the best of the best of the UK urban scene including Tinie Tempah, Wiley, Professor Green, as well as Rihanna. Huge success followed in 2012 when he produced the debut album from his friend and artistic accomplice Emeli Sandé, « Our Version of Events»- the biggest-selling album in the UK in 2012 and 2013. Not surprisingly he has been in huge demand as a producer in the past 12 months. He still found time in 2013 to move into the spotlight at the front of the stage with the release of his first album «Hotel Cabana». The album proved a massive success, propelled to number 2 in the UK charts and number 8 here in Switzerland by the huge hit « La La La » featuring Sam Smith. At Caribana we can expect an outsized live show.
